The game changers present: a rose that grew from the concrete fashion show

Step into a night of resilience, creativity, and purpose on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM as The Game Changers present a powerful runway experience inspired by the theme: “The Rose That Grew from Concrete.”

In honor of Youth Violence Prevention Week, this fashion show uplifts youth voices and artistic expression in the face of adversity. Models, designers, and vendors will showcase style, strength, and the spirit of rising above violence through fashion.

The Game Changers present: expressions of hope painting event

Join us on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 5 PM – 7 PM at Different Strokes Paint N' Sip Art Studio in Aurora for Expressions of Hope (Hosted by Joseph Graves and Nyla Grace)—a youth-powered painting experience during Youth Violence Prevention Week.

This isn’t your average paint and sip. Participants will use art as a tool for healing, expression, and conversation around gun violence prevention. Through guided creativity and reflection, this powerful event invites youth and community members to turn pain into purpose.

Voices Unheard Documentary

Voices Unheard is a powerful documentary that highlights the critical need for mental health healing in marginalized communities. Through personal stories and expert insights, it reveals the often-overlooked warning signs of mental health struggles, particularly in our youth. The film emphasizes the importance of early intervention and culturally competent care. Additionally, we are gearing up for Youth Violence Prevention Week, where we will be actively involved in planning and organizing initiatives aimed at creating safer communities for our youth.

Exciting news for students: we will be hosting an event to assist with FAFSA applications, featuring free resources and scholarship giveaways to help pave the way for a brighter academic future.
